As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using good judgment while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Monitor and observe activities within the location to identify potential security-related issues and report findings according to protocols.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals as required by site policies.
Prepare detailed and accurate written reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public within the government location.
