About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Toledo, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or emerging concerns, and document activity with clear communication. Armed Guard Card and/or License required.

Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed patrols and security-related presence checks throughout the facility, including lobbies, ATM areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and perimeter routes, as assigned.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting conditions and actions taken according to post orders.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, assist with visitor management and support staff with security-related requests, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Complete detailed activity, incident and patrol documentation, communicating observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
