Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll monitor and patrol financial institution locations to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential risks and foster a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors at financial institution locations.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required by site protocols.
Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and site leadership.
