As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and members of the public while enforcing site-specific rules and regulations.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
Document all activities, incidents, and observations in written reports as required by Allied Universal and the site.
Participate in ongoing training and drills to stay current with security-related procedures and emergency response protocols.
