Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those that may require an armed presence.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor the premises for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to company and client protocols.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials and authorizations as required for entry to restricted areas.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and/or the public.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and logs as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed during incidents or emergencies.
