Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address unique challenges.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, remaining alert to unusual activity and helping to deter potential issues.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, maintaining awareness of surroundings at all times.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed, supporting a coordinated response to incidents.
Remain prepared to respond to emergencies, including medical, fire, or security-related situations, in accordance with established procedures.
Demonstrate professionalism and respect when interacting with clients, visitors, and staff at the government location.
