Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local law enforcement when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, entrance areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support opening and closing activities, observe cash handling and high-value asset movement from a distance when assigned, and maintain a professional presence during business hours and after-hours operations.
