Requirements

Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a transportation location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including armed response when required by post orders and local regulations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unusual conditions according to site protocols.
Document incidents, assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during disruptions, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or public agency personnel regarding security-related matters.
