About The Position

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including armed response when required by post orders and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unusual conditions according to site protocols.
  • Document incidents, assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during disruptions, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or public agency personnel regarding security-related matters.
