As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and protect people and property. Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience is required.
  • Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with crowd control and help to deter disruptions during high-traffic periods or special events within the location.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed, following established protocols for armed personnel in a manufacturing and industrial environment.
