Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role is both armed and requires driving, offering an engaging opportunity to interact with the public and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Hold an armed guard card or license.
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess Level III armed certification for Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter loss prevention issues and/or unauthorized access.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or criminal activity within the retail environment.
Perform security-related duties in accordance with Allied Universal’s policies, procedures, and training requirements.
