About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, an associates degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
A law enforcement officer license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access, reporting observations according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence while on patrol to help to deter potential incidents.
Interact professionally with the public, employees, and visitors, addressing questions and/or concerns as they arise.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal standards.
Follow all site-specific protocols for armed personnel, including the handling and storage of firearms.
