About The Position

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Applicants must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or possess an associate degree or have completed 60 college credits or hold a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor for and report suspicious activities, hazards, or security-related concerns within the assigned area.
• Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as required.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders during critical situations or emergencies at the location.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Remain alert and ready to respond to changing situations, adapting to various working environments and conditions as required by the client site.
