As an Allied Universal Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations and concerns. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, respond to situations with professionalism, and deliver customer service with a calm presence. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government correctional location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public agency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Support access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing visitors, vendors, and staff according to site procedures.
• Complete routine documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant updates during shift briefings and/or post transitions.
