About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Services in Salisbury, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, coordinate with onsite staff, and support access control and perimeter checks. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and requesting assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, housing areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Control access at gates, sally ports, and key entry points by verifying identification, logging entries and exits, and screening prohibited items per site policy.
• Complete detailed reports on patrols, incident response, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or site representatives.
