As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, support access control, and work closely with site contacts and your Allied Universal team. You will bring integrity, reliability, agility, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor and/or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and direct visitors according to location rules and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance and/or contacting appropriate resources when needed.
• Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and patrol activity, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
