You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and customer service. This role requires an armed guard card and brings opportunities to act with integrity, work as one team, and deliver reliable, innovative service in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes, noting unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or onsite personnel as needed.
  • Control access to designated areas, check identification and/or credentials when required, and monitor entry points to support orderly operations.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
