As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-profile aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control points, and respond to alarms and reports with clear communication and strong customer service. You will work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Maintain Act 235 qualification for Pennsylvania roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by following post orders, access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, staging yards, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor, document, and report alarms, suspicious activity, and/or hazardous conditions; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, credentials, and/or vehicle information, following visitor management requirements and reporting discrepancies per policy.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and/or daily activity reports, and communicate security-related information to supervisors, site representatives, and/or incoming shifts.
