Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Rover in San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. You will document activity, communicate clearly with staff and the public, and support orderly operations through teamwork and integrity. This role calls for an armed guard card or license and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of facilities, platforms, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and public areas for unusual activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and document concerns according to post orders.
  • Complete incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives, and follow established procedures for handling lost and found items and/or property concerns.
