As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will deliver exceptional customer service while supporting patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to location leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter areas, while monitoring for suspicious activity and/or hazards.
  • Control access at doors, gates, and restricted areas by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor check-in requirements in accordance with location protocols.
  • Complete written reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information during shift changes to support continuity of operations.
