Requirements
- Armed Guard Card/License
- Level III Armed Certification (Texas Only)
- Security Experience - 2+ Years
- Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Work collaboratively with store staff and local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.
- Remain alert and observant, using de-escalation techniques when interacting with individuals as situations require.
