As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere within a dynamic retail environment. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, remain highly visible to assist guests and employees, and demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. Requirements

A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide high level customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when necessary.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location, documenting all incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
Interact with customers, staff, and visitors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential issues.
Support access control processes, monitor entry and exit points, and verify credentials as needed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when additional assistance is required.
