As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors while following post orders and site protocols.
  • Carry and maintain authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post instructions, and applicable laws while remaining prepared to respond to elevated situations.
