About The Position

Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Monitor and control access points to the location, verifying credentials and assisting authorized personnel and visitors as needed.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency response teams when required, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential threats or suspicious activities within the government environment.
