About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Response in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor and control access points to the location, verifying credentials and assisting authorized personnel and visitors as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency response teams when required, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential threats or suspicious activities within the government environment.
