Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Response in Berkeley, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergencies at the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols provided by Allied Universal.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential threats, documenting incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Assist with controlling access to the location, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
- Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
- Follow all company and client-specific protocols regarding the handling and storage of firearms while on duty.
