Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Response in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving position where you will play a key role in fostering a secure environment. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
At least one year of law enforcement experience or two years of security supervisor or manager experience or three years of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
