Requirements

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
Monitor visitors, staff, and deliveries entering and exiting the location, document security-related events, and report concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Support healthcare staff during escalated situations by following established response protocols, assisting with crowd control, and helping to maintain orderly operations during routine and emergency conditions.
