About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Operations in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or possess an Associate’s Degree or have completed 60 college credits or have a Police Academy Certificate or Corrections Academy Certificate.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Baton certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and stay alert to potential security-related concerns within the government facility.
