About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Operations in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgement in a government location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and report on any unusual or suspicious activity, escalating issues according to established protocols.
Interact professionally with the public, employees, and visitors while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents.
Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management regarding security-related tasks and emergency response protocols.
Maintain accurate and timely logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.
Operate communication devices and other technology as needed to support security-related operations in the government environment.
