About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Property Driver in New Orleans, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a dynamic commercial real estate location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential threats.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other equipment as required for armed security-related duties.
Document and report incidents, observations, and suspicious activities according to site protocols.
Work closely with property management and/or building staff to address security-related concerns specific to a commercial real estate environment.
Assist visitors, tenants, and/or employees by providing information and directions as needed.
