As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full-Time in Newport News, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned manufacturing and industrial locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with those onsite. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for and report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance and information as needed.
Work closely with Allied Universal management and site leadership to address security-related concerns specific to the location.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Remain alert to potential hazards and security-related risks, taking appropriate action as needed to help to deter incidents.
