Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at financial institution locations. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. This armed position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a professional environment rooted in teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor for unusual activity or potential risks, reporting observations according to company and client protocols.
Interact with employees, visitors, and/or customers at the location to support a secure and welcoming environment.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any concerns or incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client contacts as required.
Follow all company and client protocols related to armed security-related responsibilities, including proper handling and storage of issued equipment.
Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications related to armed patrol duties.
