About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driving Role in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must have a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Baton certification is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related incidents or hazards according to company protocols.
Interact with visitors, employees, and/or the public in a courteous manner, providing assistance as appropriate while upholding security-related standards.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and/or other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders during incidents, following established procedures and protocols.
