As an Armed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, you will conduct visible foot and vehicle patrols, control access, and respond to incidents while providing clear, professional customer service. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity and/or hazards and reporting findings.
  • Control access at gates, doors, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports, maintain required logs, and communicate security-related information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
