As an Armed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with calm professionalism. This is an armed, driving post, so you will use your valid driver’s license and required armed credentials while delivering strong customer service, clear communication, and integrity-driven teamwork as part of Allied Universal’s caring, agile culture. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, pump stations, treatment areas, and perimeter fencing to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization, and document entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with post orders and client requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
