About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Academy in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site policies, maintaining readiness to respond to security-related events while using sound judgment and professionalism.
