Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and/or local authorities during security-related events.
• Assist with handling alarms, suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or resident concerns while maintaining a visible presence and following post orders for the location.
