Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer serving a government location, where you'll conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address each situation appropriately.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain an orderly environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed, following established protocols and maintaining clear communication.
  • Adhere to all site-specific policies, procedures, and regulations while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
