Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to respond promptly to situations while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols specific to armed patrol posts.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and observe for unusual or suspicious activity in and around the location.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to established protocols.
Assist with emergency situations, including evacuation or lockdown procedures, as needed.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel as required.
Follow all procedures for handling and carrying firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.
