You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and concerns, and respond to calls for service with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post and an armed post, where teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach matter every day.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience is required or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, applicable laws, and facility policies, helping to deter unauthorized activity while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disruptive behavior and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter grounds; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Support access control and visitor management by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as directed, and documenting security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken.
