As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a high-profile aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a strong visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, in accordance with established policies for an aerospace and defense environment.
Document and report incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency services personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
Operate security-related equipment such as radios, surveillance systems, and alarm panels as required for the post.
Maintain a visible and professional presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to personnel at the location.
