As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and incidents with professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will carry a concealed weapon as permitted. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, managing visitor and contractor entry, and maintaining accurate logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or communications systems, report hazards and unusual conditions, and complete routine reports per post orders.
