You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms and/or calls for service, document activities, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
• A Guard Card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordination with local law enforcement and/or first responders as directed.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, screening visitors, maintaining visitor logs, and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation for incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
