About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Nights in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a high-tech aero and defense location where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and support access control and security-related response with clear, professional communication. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset as you help protect critical operations.

Requirements

• Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and personnel by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access at gates, posts, and restricted areas by verifying identification, managing visitor processing, and maintaining accurate access logs and documentation.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and security-related documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and shift turnover communications.
