Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver II in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post that requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. At Allied Universal, you will deliver professional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders and applicable laws and/or regulations, maintaining proper weapon handling, retention, and documentation standards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting public agencies as needed, and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, monitoring for suspicious activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
• Operate access control and security-related systems as assigned, such as credential checks, visitor processing, and alarm monitoring, while maintaining accurate logs and shift documentation.
