As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Healthcare in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment while providing an approachable presence for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. If you meet the driving requirements, you will also operate vehicles as part of your patrol duties. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies tailored to the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies or disturbances within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of the environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting first responders and following established procedures for healthcare environments.
  • Maintain a professional presence and communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal.
