About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Downtown in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm professionalism. This is a driving post that requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree with 60 college credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties and carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site staff and/or public law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or potential hazards.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and/or concerns to supervision.
