About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Car Driver in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post and requires an armed guard card or license. You will deliver customer service with integrity while supporting a caring team that stays agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and irregular conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor credentials, and by directing traffic flow for deliveries and contractors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite management and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Document patrol activities, access control actions, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic logs, and promptly communicate noteworthy information to supervision.
