About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or assigned posts, verifying credentials, observing for unusual activity, and reporting policy violations or suspicious behavior.
Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site requirements, while supporting security-related operations with professionalism and sound judgment.
