Requirements
- A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or vehicle access points, verifying credentials, screening for unauthorized access, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with site policies.
- Support traffic and pedestrian flow around the location, provide directions and information, and assist with incident scenes, post orders, and other security-related duties as assigned.
