As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Requirements

A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
A baton certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining composure and professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, helping to maintain a secure environment within the healthcare setting.
Communicate and coordinate with staff, visitors, and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns or incidents.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
Carry and responsibly handle a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws and regulations while on duty in an armed patrol capacity.
